Amkette Evo Fox Fireblade Keystroke performance
There are plenty of things I want to review in the Amkette keyboard.
I’ll start with the most obvious thing, which is key performance. The keystone of the Amkette Evo Fox is pretty intense and gives you a strong feel while typing. You can feel every keystroke and enjoy it a lot while typing. The keyboard is ideal for both gamers and regular writers.
Keys are pretty good responsive in a single stroke. Even at faster typing speeds, the keys are in complete grip and control to register a keystroke. The faster responsive keystroke is the key secret for precise and responsive gameplay. It is very convenient for typing for long periods of usage.
Design
It is a nice design keyboard with good placement of keys. Fireblade is similar to a normal gaming keyboard design. The entire keyboard is covered with keys and no number pad is given. The look is basic, but the performance-wise keyboard gives you tough competition in the market with successors.
The form factor sacrifices the number pad keys. Other than that, there is no doubt that this smaller design factor is excellent for gaming. The small form factor allows you to place your hands in a rest position on the desk.
It comes with a 1.5-meter-long braided cable which is a quite nice thing to see in an under $20 gaming keyboard. The quality is very good and it is quite long enough to place the keyboard at a distance from the monitor.
Coming to the weight of the keyboard, you feel a pretty feather feeling. It is lightweight and feels portable while you carry it. It occupies less space on your desk and comfortably allows a bigger space for mouse movement.
RGB Lights and Anti-Ghosting keys
When I first plugged Amkette Evo Fox Fireblade into my PC, I immediately saw RGB illumination, and that’s great because I like the multi-color effect.
RGB Lights add a fancy effect to a gaming keyboard. The programming of the RGB lights is predesigned and you won’t find many customization options to modify the lighting effect.
The lights are pretty good illuminating during the daylight and the effect is clearly visible. In the nighttime, the keyboard RGB effects work like a charm and it adds a professional game setup feel.
The breathing effect is a special attraction for the keyboard. All you have to press Fn+RGB on/off button to activate the breathing effect.
Keyboard ghosting is a nightmare for professional gamers. Usually, a key becomes a ghost (freezes or unresponsive) after pressing 6 times continuously on a keyboard.
An Anti-Ghosting keyboard will solve this problem by disabling this keyboard ghosting phenomenon. The anti-Ghosting option allows you to customize each key registered on the keyboard.
Amkette Evo Fox Fireblade has a whopping 19 anti-ghosting keys customization options which is pretty rare to find features in budget gaming keyboards.
Price
Considering the price, it really surprised me. The keyboard gives you a flagship experience at a sub-par price.
