Apple is one of the companies around the world that takes care of its users from in and out. We say this because you will find that Apple has the minutest attention to detail regarding its products, software and other things. Now, we are not saying that Apple is the only one doing it but the company is arguably a notch better (pun intended) when it comes to these things.

Talking about doing things better, Apple just released their latest iPhones and they come with the latest version of iOS which is iOS 13. Along with that, we saw the latest iPad 2019 also being released which comes with iPadOS 13, a branch of iOS for iPads. Both of these updates were released late last month for the Apple users and we know that the adoption rate for Apple’s version update is quite good. Now, Apple has revealed that their iOS 13 is running on 50% of all the iPhones around the world. Also, iPadOS 13 is now running on 33% of all the iPads running globally.

These numbers, when compared to Android’s adoption rate, make it look like there is no competition. Because we have seen that hardly 10% of all the Android devices are running Android 9.0 Pie even after more than a year of its release. But the fact is that Apple controls its updates for all the products while Google can only send the updates to Pixel devices while other OEMs have to follow suit.

That being said, we need to look at the bigger picture for iOS adoption rate too. Because in our opinion, the 50% adoption rate for iOS 13 is still less compared to the iOS 12 adoption rate the same time last year. Also, add to this the fact that iPhone 5 and older devices are not getting iOS 13 which are also present in the market.
