Bose Launches Alexa-Powered SoundBars And Smart Speakers

Bose home speaker 500 with Amazon alexa feature

The latest Echo devices are more affordable than their predecessors, but Amazon has not done everything possible to compete directly with Apple’s HomePod. Thinking about the future of connected smart sound boxes, gadget giant Bose wants to release upcoming Soundbars with Alexa virtual assistant feature.

It is reported that Bose has recently adopted Amazon’s Alexa and ready to launch first Home Speaker 500 with Alexa integration. With built-in Alexa voice control and upcoming features like Google Assistant support, Bose hopes to better compete with Amazon, Google, and Apple.

The other two products are Bose Soundbar-500 and 700. It also includes some more features like Bose’s custom-designed 8 microphone array and the speaker can catch user commands even if the user playing music at high volume. With this feature, it is easy to assist Alexa with no disturbs.

In contrast to Sonos, HomePod, and other competitors, Bose claims that the HomeSpeaker 500 “has the widest-range of all today’s smart speaker products.”  Instead of using dual speakers for extreme sound stereo, Bose uses ADAPTiQ technology and a built-in HDMI audio return channel that can be paired with wireless and rear speakers for users with 5.1 channel requirements in Soundbar-500 and 700.

These three smart speakers from Bose will be available from October. And the prices are expected above.
