If you have just come from the holidays, we are here to tell you that one of the biggest trade shows of the year is here which is CES 2020. Also, it is a great way to kickstart the year with an idea of what is to come in the smartphone and technology world. As far as CES is concerned, we rarely see smartphone announcements but we do see a lot of concepts. However, we do have a lot of PC and Laptop announcements at this event.

Just recently, Dell announced its latest XPS 13 2020 laptops which now have a four-sided Infinity Edge display as well as a small webcam at the top and a larger trackpad+keyboard. Another major announcement from Dell is the launch of its latest G5 gaming laptop in the Dell G series. However, the main talking point of this laptop is that it comes with an AMD Ryzen chip inside. Generally, we see that companies go with the AMD Ryzen chip only for the Ultrabooks as Intel’s chips are considered better for GPU performance.

However, Dell has seen something in AMD’s latest chips that we have released an AMD version of its gaming laptop too. As far as the Dell G5 with AMD Ryzen chip is concerned, it will run on AMD’s new “Renoir-H” Ryzen laptop processors and Radeon RX 5600M graphics. This means that not only will you move away from Intel but also from Nvidia graphics cards. It is worth mentioning that the sales of this laptop will mark a huge swing in the industry as well. If the Dell G5’s AMD version manages to have decent sales, it will be seen as AMD’s rise in the gaming segment of laptops as the desktop CPUs from them have already been praised from last year. On the other hand, it shows that Intel will also have to worry if AMD manages to price its chips lower which will reduce the prices of laptops.
