Disney+ subscription will cost you $6.99 per month in the US

Disney finally announced its subscription pack called Disney+ for the US customers. The company also revealed the list of programs that will be available on its subscription plan. However, the major revelation regarding Disney+ was its price. Disney revealed that the Disney+ subscription will cost just $6.99 per month for its customers. You can also buy its annual plan for $69.99 which gives you Disney+ access for 12 months.

But you will have to wait long for Disney+ subscription to get started. The company has revealed that Disney+ will be launched on November 12. Now, you would also be interested to know what Disney offers for its subscription. For starters, Disney+ will have Disney Signature, Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, National Geographic and even Disney Channel libraries. All this will be available for $6.99/month which is a great deal in our opinion.

With this, you also get Disney originals such as The Simpsons. Also, you might get ESPN+ and Hulu subscriptions at a discounted price. However, Disney has some bad news for its investors as well. The company revealed that it estimates a loss of 1 billion dollars from Disney+ in 2020. Disney says that it sees profitability by 2024. Before that, it will incur losses between 2020 and 2022 after which it will grow.

This also reveals the fact that Disney already plans to lose money in order to compete with services such as Netflix and likes. Also, it could be a while before we see price hikes on Disney+ subscriptions because the company is already willing to lose some cash. On the other hand, Netflix has increased prices of its premium plans many times in order to compensate for its operating cost.

As you might be aware, Netflix also produces Originals which cost almost a billion dollars every year. Disney has announced that Disney+ will have more than 25 originals in its first year itself.
