Tobii eye-tracking

We have seen that the world around us is changing and it has barely been five months since we welcomed the New Year of 2020. This is because of the Coronavirus outbreak and we know that things will never be the same again.

Also, people have started to change their habits which they used to in order to keep themselves and their families safe from catching the virus and this includes shopping for groceries online as well as shopping online more and less hanging out outside. At the moment, most of this does not matter anyway since most countries have enforced a lockdown.

As a part of this change, we are going to see a change in online streaming and content consumption as well. This new report reveals that platforms such as Netflix, YouTube, Facebook and others now have an eye-tracking system. This is also great news for people with some sort of conditions that prevent them from using apps normally.

At the moment, we know that even though efforts are being made, accessibility services on these platforms are pretty bad. But that is going to change since Tobii which is the industry leader in this department has developed a set of tools that will help users navigate just by a gaze.

Tobii’s eye-tracking I-Series tablets or Windows PCs using Tobii peripherals and software will be able to take advantage of this technology right now. With this new technology, you will be able to navigate across pages and sections of an app using just your eyes since their movement will be tracked.

This will be extremely useful for those people who can move their eyes and use their brain but are unable to move their hands to touch or navigate from the screen. Right now, the eye-tracking is available on web apps but they will be developed for apps as well.
