Gionee is all set to launch selfie-friendly smartphone Gionee S6s on August 22, 2016, in India. The company started rolling out the invitations for the event already. The invite shows “The Director’s Cut” tagline with #SELFIEWITHFLASH words. It indicates the coming device is a selfie-friendly device with a front-facing LED flash.
The device specs are still in suspense, but we have the information to get the idea of the device. It is expected to be the Gionee S6s comes with 2.5D curved glass and a 5.5 inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display. It is expected to be powered by the MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via a MicroSD card.

Coming to the main feature of the phone, it will feature a 8 MP front facing the camera with f/2.2 aperture and 5P lens and 13 MP IMX258 rear camera with PDAF and f/2.0 aperture. Both cameras are coming with LED flash; the company added LED in front to provide good lighting for selfie lovers even in poor lighting conditions.
The device runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow, for security the company added a fingerprint scanner. To run all hardware, the device is packed with a 3150 mAh non-removable battery. On the connectivity side, it has all the available options like 4G LTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/AGPS and Hybrid Dual SIM slot. We are expecting the price of the device is near $220 and in India, it is around 13,500INR.
