Google Fit Is Updated With New Challenges And Rewards For Our Healthy Activities

Google Fit

Google Fit, an application to register our physical activity, has just introduced a series of challenges that seek to encourage its users to perform healthy activities and exercises in order to increase their heart points.

After having completely renewed its interface, the user can find new features, a widget for the home screen and the incorporation of Active Minutes and Heart Points. Google Fit has begun to implement in its platform a series of challenges that complement all the options presented the application.

In this way, and with the focus on increasing healthy activities and wellness through games, users who join these challenges can increase their heart points every time they register in the app activity or, failing that, that Google Fit automatically detects the steps, races or bike rides that are being made.

As highlighted by a publication on the official Google blog, you will get heart points for any activity that makes your heartbeat. The challenges will be displayed on your home screen and, for the time being, they have a duration of 30 days.

They begin in January 2019, but those who have been notified can already sign up. The goal is basically to meet the 150 points per week recommended by both the AHA (American Heart Association) and the WHO (World Health Organization) to reduce the risk of heart disease, improve sleep and increase mental well-being in general.

Finally, Google is also encouraging influencers and prominent personalities from nine countries around the world to join the challenges and share their activities using the #GetFitWithGoogle tag, as highlighted by the 9to5Google portal. This new feature is being implemented gradually in all Google Fit users.

So if you have not yet received the notification for the challenges, surely in the coming days will be available.

That’s all for now. Please leave your feedback in the comment section below.
