OnePlus is known as a smartphone manufacturer making the waves in terms of both software and hardware. We know that OnePlus smartphones come with the latest and greatest technology in the market.

However, OnePlus’ OxygenOS is also said to be the best Android skin available right now. This is because OnePlus’ skin is based on Stock Android with minimal bloatware and comes with needed customization options that do not make it too heavy. For this reason, the UI runs extremely smooth and there are minimal bugs in day-to-day usage.

Also, OnePlus has made its name in releasing updates on time for its smartphones too. Talking about updates, we are happy to report that OnePlus 6 and 6T owners are starting to get Android 10 right now.

Because OnePlus has released the OxygenOS 10 update for both its flagship devices from 2018. This means that you get Android 10 on top of OxygenOS 10 which comes with additional features.

As far as the OnePlus 6 and 6T are concerned, the OnePlus 6 was released with a physical fingerprint sensor while the OnePlus 6T had an in-display fingerprint sensor. However, OnePlus 6T users complained about the fingerprint sensor on their device is slow.

With this update, it is expected that the sensor will become faster with some tweaks done by OnePlus. OnePlus mentions in its release note that there is a “brand new UI” with the OxygenOS 10 update.

However, we have seen from updates on the OnePlus 7 series that the UI has undergone an iterative change and it might not be as “brand new” as you would expect.

Apart from that, the update does come with improvements and bug fixes so you should update to the latest version if there are bugs on your device. As for the update, you will have to wait for it come to your device since this is a staged rollout.
