You must have heard about a lot of malware applications that are available and most of them are able to steal information from your computer or smartphone. Now, a new malware named as Racoon is available which was previously known as a top-of-the-line malware being sold for a premium price. However, this malware’s cost has reduced drastically and it is now available for cheap in comparison to the previous cost. Talking about this racoon malware, it is known to be an infostealing one which means that it will steal information from your PC but might not infect your system.

Also, it is believed that this malware is powerful enough to steal sensitive data from as many as 60 apps on the infected computer. It is worth noting that the apps from which this malware can steal data is also quite big and millions of people use it on a daily basis. Therefore, it is believed that there is no way for you to stop leaking information once this malware gets inside the system. This malware has been doing the rounds on cybercriminal forums from last year and it originated as a Russian malware only.

But eventually, this malware has made its way to the English-speaking forums too and thus, its spread has increased quite a lot which is dangerous. This malware is also known as Legion, Mohazo, and Racealer and it is sold in the open for $75/week or $200/month which is cheap considering the information that it can gather from the system it infects.

As for the list of applications that this malware can gather data from, the malware is said to be extremely effective on all browser apps such as Google Chrome, Firefox and other Chromium-based browsers. The malware also collects information from cryptocurrency apps which can make you lose them without being aware.
