Xiaomi has launched yet another smartphone in the Indian markets. Although it must be said that the smartphone launch has slowed compared to last year, it still is a lot. In the latest smartphone launch, Xiaomi India announces the Redmi Note 7s. Now, it is not that we did not know about its launch. Xiaomi’s Twitter account already shared the news of the launch of Redmi Note 7s in India. Also, Xiaomi CEO Manu Jain said the smartphone will have a 48MP rear camera.

As expected and reported, Xiaomi Redmi Note 7s comes as rebranded Redmi Note 7 which sells in China. In China, both the Redmi Note 7 and 7 Pro had 48MP primary rear cameras whereas, in India, it didn’t. That has now changed with the Redmi Note 7s. Some users also say that Redmi Note 7 was launched in India with a 12MP camera because of the shortage of 48MP sensors.

Coming back to Redmi Note 7s, most of the things are same as the Redmi Note 7. We have a 6.3-inch full HD+ display on this device with a waterdrop notch. You get Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on front and back same as Redmi Note 7 series.

Apart from that, Redmi Note 7s is powered by Snapdragon 660 processor and has up to 6GB RAM options. You get a maximum of 64GB internal storage on this device too. The device packs a 4000 mAh non-removable battery along with Quick Charge 4 fast charging.

In the camera department, Redmi Note 7s has a 48MP primary camera and a 5MP depth sensor for better portraits. Apart from that, there is a 13MP front camera for selfies. The smartphone is priced in India starting at Rs. 10,999 in India. We feel that Xiaomi has killed the Redmi Note 7 with the launch of Redmi Note 7s because the Note 7 starts at same specifications at Rs. 9999 without a 48MP camera.
