We already knew that Samsung had an event lined up for August 5 and it was expected that the company would release new smartphones in its lineup at this event. So as expected, we saw the company release their new smartphones in the Galaxy Note 20 series which are the Galaxy Note 20 and the Note 20 Ultra. Now, it is worth noting that there is no Note 20+ same as the Galaxy S20+ which means Samsung realized its mistake with the S20 series. However, we have some issues with this lineup too which we talk about later.

Before that, it is worth noting that the Galaxy Fold 2 has also been announced which is a much better version of the Galaxy Fold, Samsung’s foldable smartphone. It is also the most improved foldable device we have seen so far and beats the Galaxy Z Flip as well. As far as Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra are concerned, they both have Snapdragon 865+ but the Note 20 Ultra gets an all-glass design while the Note 20 has a plastic body at the back.

What surprises us though is that Samsung charges $999 for Note 20 whereas the Note 20 Ultra starts at $1299. Galaxy Note 20 Ultra also has better cameras with 108MP wide-angle primary, 12MP telephoto and a 12MP ultrawide-angle lens with massive sensors. The Galaxy Note 20 has a 64MP primary camera and rest are more or less same. We expected Samsung to reduce the price of Note 20 to make room for its S20 series but they did not do so.

As for the Galaxy Fold 2, it now has three displays basically because of a full screen one at the front while the inside display folds into two. There is no pricing announced for the Galaxy Fold 2 yet and we believe it will cost upwards of $2000 similar to Galaxy Fold’s pricing from previous years.
