Samsung announces its February 11 event for launch of Galaxy S11 series and more

Samsung Galaxy S11 series

If you have been following our Samsung coverage for a while now, you would be aware that the company is cooking something. Well, Samsung is not literally cooking anything but they are definitely developing new products in their lineup. From this, you might have guessed that we are talking about the Galaxy S11 series.

However, there are reports which also point that the next flagship series from Samsung could be named as Galaxy S20 after last year’s S10 series. While this makes sense as the explanation is for a new decade to start with a new name, we do hope that the features justify this huge leap in numbers.

As far as the Samsung Galaxy S20 series is confirmed, we know right now that the series will have three variants namely the Galaxy S20, S20+ and the S20 Ultra. Obviously, it can be understood that the Galaxy S20 series will have all phones with a 120Hz refresh rate panel which should be an AMOLED one. Therefore, the upgrades for the Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra will only be in the camera quality.

Samsung has now sent out invites to the press revealing that its next event will be on February 11. This means that the next Galaxy phones will be revealed by Samsung in the US on this date. While we do know that the Samsung Galaxy S11 series will be released, we also expect more phones to be released at the same event. Earlier reports reveal that the next Galaxy Fold phone might also be announced with a clamshell design.

One thing that we are also interested in seeing is the 8K video recording capability which will be seen on Samsung’s next flagship phones. Right now, we are seeing 4K video recording on the majority of smartphones but an 8K video recording capability is unheard of so that should be interesting.
