Skype bug automatically answered calls for everyone on Android

In this day and age, we have been more online rather than off the internet. Now, you must be using Skype by Windows which is an app used to chat and call people abroad. Usually, people call on Skype because the international call rates are too high. Also because Skype does the job perfectly fine and you can also chat with friends on the platform. At the moment, Skype is used by majority of business users for their conferences and other work-related calls.

Recently, a new bug was found inside Skype which must have affected you if you are using Skype on an Android device. This means if you were using Skype but on iPhone then you are most probably not affected by this bug. Now, we would like to tell you more about this bug. It has been found out that Skype had this weird bug where it used to automatically pick up calls for Android users.

Now, we are not sure, no one, about when this bug came into existence. However, there are reports which say that the bug has been on the platform since January of this year. Also, it is known that Microsoft has found out how the bug was caused. But there is no workaround to avoid this bug. So the only option you have is to uninstall Skype from your Android device and use it on Windows, macOS or iOS.

Even if you disable the “Answer incoming calls automatically” button, the calls will still be answered automatically. Since the bug has been identified, we should at least wait for the next Skype update on Android devices to use the app once again. Until then, you can download the latest preview app for Skype which reportedly has already received fix for this bug. Microsoft has also announced that the Skype update to its stable version should be released later this month with the fix.
