Spotify India

We know that Spotify is eagerly waited to be officially launched in India. We heard back last year that Spotify will be launched in India soon. However, we have not been hearing much about the news of its launch ever since. Earlier this year, we got the news that Spotify has secured a partnership with T-series as well as Sony in India. This is important for the company for securing music rights in India.

Now, we can finally confirm that Spotify has indeed launched in India officially. Spotify’s Indian launch has come as a surprise because there were reports of the launch getting delayed. The reason being that Spotify was sued by Warner Bros in India because of alleged copyright issues. Spotify even officially claimed that the only issue holding them back from official India launch is the pending Warner Bros case.
