Spotify may launch in India by the end of January 2019

Now, we have got some good news for you. Spotify is (finally) going to launch in India if reports are to be believed. According to Variety, Spotify is officially launching in India very soon.

Now, you might think that Spotify’s launch reports have been coming from the past couple of years. But there is no firm timeline as to when the service will actually launch. Therefore, this report can be brushed off too.

No, that is not the case this time as Variety reports that the launch of Spotify in India will happen on January 31. They have added that the launch is scheduled for the end of January and the last day of January is the likeliest.

The present scenario for Spotify to tackle is that there won’t be enough non-English songs on their platform even after launch. Therefore, it is needed that Spotify adds Indian regional music for it to gain listeners who don’t have interest in English songs too.
