Virgin Galactic Sends Passenger into Space for First Time

Virgin Galatic company is in the news for its latest space trip with a first passenger in it. It happened on Friday at 11 a.m. ET, the VSS Unity, the new version of the SpaceShip Two. The spaceship is managed to carry two pilots along with one commercial passenger and entered into the highest ever altitude, flying at 55.85 miles (90 kilometers) above the Earth.

Also, the company is planning to continue recreational space tourism with these flights throughout the year. The company is also planning to move to a new location in New Mexico called Spaceport America where they will conduct its future commercial flights. The waiting list for the commercial space tourism is already received more than 600 entries including celebrities like Justin Bieber and Leonardo DiCaprio. A trip costs nearly $250,000 for 90 minutes of traveling time.
