Vivo Nex 3 confirmed to have 99.6% screen-to-body ratio, launching on September 16

We have seen smartphones come with notches, small bezels and even no bezels at all. However, we have not managed to achieve 100% screen-to-body ratio. While we know that this is very unlikely to ever be achieved, we believe achieving a ratio higher than 99% is possible. Now, it has been confirmed that the screen-to-body ratio on Vivo’s upcoming Nex 3 will shatter all the current records. Because the smartphone is said to come with a 99.6% screen-to-body ratio.

Talking about this ratio, it means that 99.6% of the smartphone’s body will be screen and the rest will be the body. In comparison, the OnePlus 7 Pro which is almost bezel-less comes with a screen-to-body ratio of less than 93%. Therefore, we can say that this is a monumental achievement and it should bring a revolution in the industry. As far as the Vivo Nex series is concerned, we know that it was also the first to come with bezel-less design and pop-up cameras. So we know that Vivo will not fall short in innovating this time as well. It is also revealed that the smartphone is launching on September 16 which is just around the corner. Thus, we will come to know what Vivo has to offer with the Nex 3 by next week.

The company makes a massive claim regarding the Nex 3 as they say that “no other phone would offer such a high screen-to-body ratio in the next six months”. If this turns out to be true or not is something that we see in the future but this is a huge claim to make. While we know that the likes of Apple, Samsung or Google are not going to make a smartphone with such a screen-to-body ratio. We do expect Xiaomi or Huawei to try making such a smartphone just for the sake of innovation next year.
