Got bad news for you in case you are shopping for smartphones  this month and can’t really make up your mind due to the multitude of seemingly similar spectacular offerings. Well, your task got way more complicated yet again. In its wisdom, Vivo has just announced on its official Weibo page a shindig with the high and mighty scheduled for November 16. At the event, it is popularly expected to announce the widely rumored and even more widely leaked duo of the midrange and possibly flagship Vivo X9 and Vivo X9 Plus smartphones. The twins are focused on the selfie-addicted crowd with two cameras -one 20MP and the other 8MP- up front that lets you picture and upload yourself in all your perfect glory. The Vivo X9 Plus additionally sports dual back cameras, which its less well-equipped sibling lacks.

Vivo has graciously shared a few promotional pictures of its X9 device as well. Which enables us to deduce that it  sports a durable full metal design, with a possible fingerprint sensor thoughtfully  integrated in the Home button. The bezels come real razor thin at 1.59mm, while the screen is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5.   A type-C USB port, speaker grille, and a 3.5mm audio jack live large at the bottom edge, complemented by volume and power buttons on the right edge. OS is unknown, but probably the naughtily delicious Android Nougat 7.0.

The Vivo X9  appears to come sporting 4 to 6GB of RAM, while the specific configurations of its power-lifting sibling are currently unknown but expected to be pretty well terrifying. Punch power for the X9 is allegedly courtesy of a Snapdragon 653 chipset. And confirmed colors are only Rose Gold at present, with probably even more colors to be unveiled or leaked soon.

Vivo has done pretty well with these. And while some may mock them as Apple or Samsung knock-offs, they are indeed  mightily impressive designs in their own right and all i can say is Bravo Vivo!
