Xiaomi Launched Mi5 At MWC 2016

As the rumors stated recently, Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi Mi5 at the MWC event. They released the device as two variants, one priced $306 (Rs. 21,000) and the pro version priced $408 (Rs. 28000). Mi5 was one of the most expected devices in the past few months. Many speculations and rumors were fired up stating the features, price and release date of the product. Now, it’s all cut-down by the official confirmations at MWC. The company’s president Hugo Barra revealed the device on the stage.

As we expected, the device has a 1920×1080 pixel display sized 5.15-inches. It maintains a good screen-body ratio. Ultra-bright 16-LED backlighting with 2.5D curved glass can ensure some good visual quality on the screen. Mi5 sports a 16.0MP rear camera with high-quality Sony IMX298 lenses. Users can record high-quality 4K videos using the primary camera of the Mi5. The front camera is a little lower and having only a 4.0MP quality. But, still it manages to deliver a good quality to the selfies.

Looking inside, there is a Snapdragon 820 chipset as the CPU to power the whole hardware. Adreno 530 GPU powers the graphic quality of games and videos. As I mentioned before, the device is available in two variants. One with a 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. The Pro version with a 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM. Both variants features the LPDDR4 RAM to deliver the extreme multi-tasking performance in tough conditions.

The latest 4G LTE technology leading the connectivity features followed by the basic connectivity solutions like 3G, 2G, Wifi. A 3000mAh battery powering the whole system to ensure the whole day stability of the phone even in high-end usage. The battery looks good for the price and may provide some good time period for gamers. Considering the hardware combinations on the Xiaomi Mi5, all looks good and perfect matches to deliver maximum performance without consuming that much battery.
