Xiaomi has hosted a special event for today, November 6 in China. The announcement of this event was made by the company itself. We also know what to expect from this event from the company. If you follow Xiaomi closely, you would have known that the company launched Redmi Note 5 Pro at the start of this year. Now, the next version in the Redmi Note series is just around the corner. Today, Xiaomi will announce the Redmi Note 6.

In comparison with the Redmi Note 5 Pro, Note 6 is just an iterative upgrade. The major change in Redmi Note 6 is that it now has a notch in the display. This means that the aspect ratio of the device has been increased. Apart from that, most other specifications of both the devices are expected to be the same. This event is not just about smartphone launch from Xiaomi too. The company is expected to launch the latest Mi Notebook as well as Mi TV.

As for the Mi Notebook, not much information is currently available. However, the Mi TV is expected to come in the 65-inch screen size. This latest Mi TV will also be a part of the Mi TV 4 series. This series was recently launched in India as well. Coming back to the Redmi Note 6 Pro, Xiaomi is expected to finally have the USB Type-C port on this device. Also, the device will have dual cameras on the back, a dual camera setup on the front and up to 6GB of RAM.

Talking about the launch event, Xiaomi has organized the launch event at 2 PM local time which is around 11.30 AM in terms of Indian Standard Time. Xiaomi shared a teaser of the Redmi Note 6 which reads  “wonderful upgrade” so we should see improvements from the Redmi Note 5 Pro. We don’t have any details about the pricing of any of the Xiaomi products so we will have to wait until the official press release.
