You should stay away from the latest Unsubscribe emails scam which is going around

Email scam

Email scam

We have seen that a new way to stop getting spam emails or emails from the companies is to unsubscribe from them. This is a great way to stop getting emails and also a way to tell the email senders that they are not interested in receiving those emails. However, we have now seen a new type of scam which is related to the ‘unsubscribe emails’.

In this latest scam that is happening on the internet, people are getting emails that tell them to unsubscribe from lists. Now, people think that this is a legitimate email and click on the unsubscribe button. Also, it should be noted that they get unsubscribed as well. However, this email is a scam which means that they are only getting a fake unsubscribe message.

Now, we should also understand how this is a scam. While this does unsubscribe people from email lists, they also add emails to a different list. This list might be used in future to send scammy emails and other types of emails to the list. Basically, it means that you are not unsubscribing from the list but in fact, subscribing to them.

Although it has to be said that these emails are not scamming you directly, it must be said that they are part of a scam. Once you reply to these emails, the scammers will know that you are a ‘live one’. It means that the email address is an active one and will respond to emails in future as well.

Once the scammers will know that the email is a ‘live one’, they will send scam emails in the future. The best way to avoid these scams is to not click on these emails which tell you to unsubscribe. The way you can avoid this scam is to check where the emails come from and not respond to them if they are from unverified sources.
