YouTube Originals will become free to all users from September 24. Yes, you heard right. A few months back YouTube has announced that it’s going to make the YouTube Original content to be free for all users. Now, it has become live.
This new announcement will bring SOME content under originals like series, movies and live events to be free for all users. Currently, these are only available to premium users.

The YouTube premium subscription cost $12 a month, which is not a piece of cake for many, particularly the middle class and poor. Without any doubt, they are the majority of viewers for YouTube. Now, this move will attract millions of users to watch premium content for free.
Free users have to wait
Though it is said to free to all users, there is a catch. The non-premium users have to wait for the new episodes for more time while the premium subscribers can watch them as early as possible. Also, they have to convince themselves to watch ads before or in between the videos. In fact, YouTube originals are not free for anyone.
What about Premium subscribers?
The premium subscribers still watch all original content without any delay, with no ads and downloadable option. Also, they will get director’s cuts and extra scenes. The features currently they are enjoying such as ad-free videos, 1080p video download option, etc. are unaffected. They lose nothing in this move but will get more features.
More Premium Features
YouTube going to bring additional features for premium subscribers which include “Recommended Downloads” section in YouTube app. With this addition, the premium subscribers can find interesting videos under the library section. Here, they can add up to 500 songs from the liked songs. So, this is not only a change for non-premium users, but also for the premium users.
