How to Create WhatsApp Backup

WhatsApp became one of the essential factors in every mobile device. Most of the smartphone users now have a WhatsApp account or even two or three. As we all know, backups are always important in any field. Either it is an important business project or your old family photos, it is like keeping our gold in a safe bank locker. In the case of WhatsApp also, the thing is no different. We should be always caring of the important conversations we had with the clients or even with friends. Backing up them is the best way to show our care.

To Manually Create WhatsApp Chat Backup

Even there is an automatic backup provided by WhatsApp, the team itself recommends to take a manual backup of the conversations more often. To do this, follow these steps.

  1. Open Whatsapp.
  2. Tap on the Hamburger menu icon.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Chats.
  5. Then, tap Chat backup.
  6. Tap on the “Back Up” button.
  7. Now your chat backup will be stored in your internal phone storage as well as will be uploaded to the Google Drive (if you have a faster connection.

You can choose this backup to restore your chats in future. Repeat the process once in a while to be updated with the backups. Once you create a newer version of the backup, the older one will be automatically removed both from the Google Drive and from the local storage. So, it will not consume unnecessary space either on the cloud nor on the phone.
