Android USB Debugging: What It Is And Why To Do It

Are you getting trouble with android rooting? Do you want to install a third-party app that has blocked your smartphone? No worry, because now everything is easier with Android debugging! In this guide, we will discover what it is, its functions and how to enable it!

The term “debugging” refers to the process of finding and correcting problems. In the Android system, debugging also includes many other convenient features that allow you to test unknown apps and install a custom ROM.

This Android Debugging, popularly known as Android USB debugging also helps you to repair a terminal on the software side, giving the possibility to manage external programs and help the repairman to take control of the device, for example, through ADB. (If the screen was broken, you could still check your smartphone through ADB).

Though it has good merits, still it has a drawback: Any attacker with minimum knowledge in the field will be facilitated to access the data easily.

How to activate Android USB debugging?

To enable USB debugging, you must unlock Developer Options (here our user guide) on your Android smartphone. To do this you must follow these steps:

  1. You must enter the Settings dashboard
  2. Scroll down and go to info on the phone and click 7 times on the Build number until you see this message: The above screenshot shows, how it could be.
  3. Back in the previous menu, you’ll see some new options that were not there before: Just tap on Developer Options and scroll down.
  4. Now activate the USB debugging option and you’re done!

This method has been used on the Huawei and Honor EMUI interface, but it is also reproducible for other Android interfaces (it could change the number of touches or the voice to plug). Hope, you can now try this on your android device.
