As you might already know, Apple announced its iPhone 11 series last night. In the iPhone 11 series, the entry-level iPhone is the iPhone 11. For those who are unaware, this is the iPhone Xr successor from last year. The reason behind Apple’s name change for the iPhone Xr successor is simple.
Basically, people saw the iPhone Xr as a cheap iPhone which does not sit well with Apple’s philosophy so the company decided to name it the same as the other iPhones. Now, we are here to tell you about the difference between iPhone 11 and iPhone Xr and which is the one you should buy.
At first, you will notice that the iPhone 11 has larger bezels than the iPhone 11 Pro which was same with the iPhone Xr and Xs series.
However, the bezels are similar in size to the iPhone Xr from last year. One big change is that you get a dual-camera setup on the iPhone 11 rather than a single camera setup on the iPhone Xr.
The different color options that you got with the iPhone Xr are still there with the iPhone 11. The display on iPhone 11 remains the same as the iPhone Xr which means you still get an LCD display panel with HD+ resolution.
Coming to the battery life, Apple has bumped up the capacity of the battery on iPhone 11 to 3,110mAh battery from last year’s 2942 mAh capacity.
This means that you get an hour more of battery life compared to last year. Also, you now get 15W fast-charging support on the iPhone 11 but the charger has to be bought separately.
In terms of camera, you now get an ultrawide camera along with telephoto lens and 2x zoom capabilities. The iPhone 11’s night mode is much more improved as compared to last year. You can shoot videos at 4K 60 frames per second with both the lenses as well.
On the inside, the processor of iPhone 11 has been bumped up to A13 Bionic from last year’s A12 Bionic. Apple says that its A13 Bionic chip is the fastest processor on any smartphone. You also get 4GB RAM on the iPhone 11 compared to 3GB on the iPhone Xr.
However, the biggest difference between the iPhone 11 and iPhone Xr is its price. Apple launched the iPhone Xr starts at $749 but they have reduced the launch price of iPhone 11 and it starts at just $699. In India, you can get the iPhone 11 starting at Rs. 64,990.
