Virtual reality (VR) refers to a computer-generated simulation of reality. It immerses you into a three-dimensional world that feels physically real. When combined with augmented reality and mixed reality, VR can completely change the world as we know it.
VR uses specialized electronic devices along with a pair of VR glasses or goggles that separate you from reality and project you into computer-generated reality. It provides a completely immersive experience that is unlike anything else.
Virtual reality uses multiple sensors to function properly and it uses highly sophisticated technology. Its main uses are in video games, sports games, and in the entertainment world, such as during concerts or films.

Although already relatively advanced, the world of VR is only going to progress even further within the next few years and it will become more accessible as time goes on.
Brain-Reading Robots
Robots are becoming more advanced and sophisticated by the day. Using artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), robots have been programmed to read human brains.
These machines used a brain-computer interface that is attached to a robot arm. It can be used to interpret brain waves using an electrocardiogram (ECG) machine to effectively ‘read’ the brain.
The robotic arm can use the brain signals to perform simple tasks like moving objects from one place to another. Although this is a very new technology, the future of brain-reading robots is exciting!
Realistic Holographs
Holographs have been featured extensively in sci-fi films and books for years. Only recently have they become more of a reality.
Researchers have created holobricks that can be pieced together to produce a 3D hologram. The holograms are around a 3TB/second size and resolution, which is impressive considering they are a new technology.
Because they use so much data, holograms aren’t yet suitable for home entertainment devices. However, this is something to look forward to in the future as researchers work to reduce the amount of data that holograms require.
