ASUS Chromebook C523 first 15.6-inch Chromebook comes with 8GB of RAM

The catalog of Chromebooks continues to expand little by little. If a few weeks ago we talked about the Chromebook x360 14 of HP and the Chromebook C423 of ASUS. Here we bring you a new team of the latter. Although other brands, such as Acer, already offered proposals of this size for some time, the Chromebook C523 is the first ASUS model with Chrome OS and 15.6-inch screen, a very popular diagonal in laptops with another operating system.

Otherwise, the Chromebook C523 maintains characteristics very similar to the 14-inch model (the aforementioned C423) of the brand itself, both hardware and design. The anti-reflective LED display, the sturdy 180-degree hinge and the autonomy of up to 10 hours are among them.

180 Degree Hinge With Google PlayStore Support

The Chromebook C523 features a 15.6-inch ASUS NanoEdge anti-glare LED display, which has a resolution up to FullHD (1,920×1,080 pixels), very thin side bezels and, optionally, 10-point multitouch capability. It runs on Chrome OS, but also offers support for Google Play, so you can enjoy most Android mobile applications.

Inside, we find two options of Intel processor (two or four cores), an internal storage of 32 or 64GB and up to 8GB of RAM. In the connectivity section, it includes a multiformat card reader, an HD webcam, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.0, two USB 3.1 ports, another two USC-C and a two-cell polymer battery that can last up to 10 hours with one load

Like the 14-inch model, the new ASUS proposal includes a 180-degree hinge that, according to the company, has passed an opening and closing test of 20,000 cycles to guarantee its durability. And all with an aluminum finish, dimensions of 358×248.5×15.6 mm (16.1 mm in its thickest part) and a weight that ranges between 1.43 and 1.69 kg depending on the configuration.

ASUS has not given any official data on prices and release date, but according to Android Police, will go on sale in early 2019 with a price tag of $270 dollars for C523NA-DH02 version, with processor Intel Celeron N3350 and 4GB of RAM.
