Now Microsoft Allows Filesharing via One Drive In Skype

microsoft integrates onedrive in skype

Microsoft has a wide range of applications that cover utilities of all kinds. Apps that we can not only find within the Windows ecosystem. Android and iOS are an excellent field of culture to check the benefits of these applications which, despite having the same source, sometimes are not well enough blended.

This deficit in what interrelation between applications is being one of the obsessions of Microsoft and to put a solution to this handicap work in constant updates that reach the market. The latest relates Skype to OneDrive, Microsoft’s cloud storage service.

And now the company has announced enabling the option to exchange files on the cloud via OneDrive among Skype users. The popular messaging application returns to the present because a few days ago it became compatible with Amazon’s Alexa.

With this improvement, the use of Skype is enhanced when exchanging files. It will not be necessary to send the entire file in question and it will suffice that we can send the corresponding link to the space it occupies in OneDrive. A process that we can carry out within the same Skype application.

The process can be carried out without leaving the conversation on holding. Clicking on the icon with the “+” symbol opens a menu under the heading “Content and tools” in which we will now find a section called “OneDrive“. Inside it, we mark the file or folder that we want to share with the other user, which will see how the OneDrive application opens if it is installed.

This is an improvement that for now is not open to all users and is only available to those who can use the Skype preview that corresponds to version 8.35.76.30 of the application.

That’s all for now. Please leave your feedback in the comment section below.
