Cubot X15 Review: Build Quality & Features

The first thing you notice about the Cubot X15 is the design. It is pretty compact and give a premium feel in your hand. The Cubot X15 comes with pretty impressive specs for its price point and features a 5.5-inch FHD display with 1920 X1080p. The device is powered by a quad-core MTK6735 64bit processor and has 2GB of RAM.

The front panel has a camera, sensors and below the 5.5inch FHD display, you have the three touch button. On the back, it has the 8M camera with 1A Flash, and at the bottom, it has a Cubot logo.
The phone also has a 16MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front camera, which is first of its kind in a device front 8MP camera which is priced low. The phone ships in 16GB and also comes with 2750mAH power battery.

The display of the device is pretty good and offers good quality. The IPS display offers good viewing angles and even in the outdoor sunlight the display is clearly visible. We don’t see too many devices in the under $180 pricing with an HD resolution and a display that is really great to use. Overall, the build quality and finish of the device is really good and Cubot has done a very good job.

The device comes in Android 5.1 Lollipop flavor, the OS nearly offers Stock and easily customizable. Powering the device is the MTK6735 64bit processor with a combination of 2GB RAM means you can expect good processing speeds. We used the device for 7 days to test the performance, the hardware is good and satisfy the money you spend.

The internal storage of the device 16GB and you can upgrade up to 32GB using expandable memory. The best part of the device is gesture and OTG support. You can wake, access camera, play music using simple gestures. With OTG, you can connect your external drives with a USB cable on the go.

Cubot X15 Camera Quality

The Cubot X15 also comes with Hotknot features, which uses NFC to communicate and transfer file sharing on the go. Coming to gaming performance, the device is capable of playing almost all high-end hits in the Play Store. The device is a dual SIM 3G nad 4G capable, the signal quality is good and we did not have any issues like dropped calls or signal issues.

The camera on the device is a 16MP sharp shooter with LED flash and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The photos taken with the 16MP camera have decent clarity and color quality. The images possessed good depth and brightness levels, we satisfied with the image quality. The phone supports video recording in 1080p, the video quality is also pretty satisfactory.

    I have had my phone for o er a year,and it is without doubt the the best buy I havery ever made,it beats my iPhone 5 hands down. The camera is great.

    Value for money? That’s way too much overpriced, UMI Rome offers a way more powerful
    octacore cpu, 3gb ram and an amoled screen, allowing also to save 60$!
    Who do they thing they are? Apple?

      Really looking to to this product, I’ve also read that has metal
      finishing and a thickness which is less than 8mm… along with the great
      processor, ram and the amoled screen, it’s incredible how such a
      product can be offered for so low!
