As with every social media website, you can find annoying people who you probably don’t want to get in contact with or see what they publish. Instagram is a website where you can publish your photos and videos, but also chat with other people, and that is where the problem starts. You see… someone can really give you a hard time using the chat or comment function, and the best thing to do in this case is to block that person (or persons).
Blocking means that the person you’ve blocked won’t be able to see your profile at all alongside your pictures, videos, updates etc. If it happens to you to block someone you didn’t want to block, you can, of course, unblock that person on Instagram. This is very easy, and you should be able to do this in a matter of a minute, so don’t worry, as we are here to explain how to unblock a person on Instagram.
How to Unblock a Person on Instagram?
As we said, this is a very simple process that will require no more than two minutes of your time…hope it isn’t too much for you. So, first find the Instagram app on your phone and open it. To get to your profile tap the icon on the right side at the bottom. You should be able to see your profile now, with every update. The options menu is what should be opened now.
You can open it, again, at the upper right side by clicking on three vertical dots. After that, scroll to the Account tab and click on Blocked Users. From now on, I think you get it. Click on Unblock next to the user you’ve blocked and want to unblock and then confirm your choice by clicking YES. That’s it… you are done. To make sure you fully understood this, we also prepared a step-by-step guide below.
- Find and open the Instagram app on your phone.
- Choose your profile icon on the lower right side of the screen.
- Tap on three vertical dots, which are Options.
- You should now have the Account tab opened, so scroll down to Blocked Users.
- Find the person you want to unblock and tap the Unblock button.
- You’ll see the popup saying ”Are you sure?”. Click Yes, I’m sure.
As you can see, this isn’t a rocket science. Instagram is a very simple app, even more, simplified than Facebook and you should be good after a week of using. As for the blocking and unblocking, Instagram is a very popular social media app, so you’ll surely need to block someone over the period of usage. Blocking is easy, and unblocking is even easier!
