After using this service for a while, we decided to present a review to our readers so that you will also be able to enjoy the benefit of their service. As usual, we will be looking deeply into the features of this website and what you can expect from them. Without further due, let’s review Flaticon.

What makes them special?

There are several icon databases all around the internet. Then, why should we go for the Flaticon? Have a look at the following benefits/features we found on the website which attracted us towards them.

Beautiful Icons

Agree or not, the best thing most of the users need is the beauty in the icons. No one will download those icons which look bad even if it is free. When it comes to the Flaticon, almost all of their icons (probably all of them) looks great and clean. Instead of those bulky 3D designs, this site provides ‘flat’ icons. The icons are clean, beautiful, and suitable for any needs.

Note: Do not use these icons without crediting the author.

Free to Use

Most of the icons listed on the Flaticon is free to use. But, you will have to credit the author when using it. If you don’t want to credit the author each time you use an icon, you will have to upgrade your subscription. When considering the beauty of the icons, there is no problem in crediting the author.

Huge Database

Flaticon has a huge database of various icons lying in different icon packs. To find an icon all you have to do is simply searching it in the search box or finding the appropriate icon pack. It contains all the icons you need from Pets to Computers. You will never have to use another icon website after using Flaticon.

Easiness in the Usage

Unlike many other icon download websites which require numerous steps to download an icon, Flaticon has one of the simplest methods. All you have to do is finding a perfect icon for your need, clicking on it, choosing the format, and choosing the size. The icon will be download immediately. In addition, if you signup for a free account, you can create your own icon collections and download them all at once. But users will only have a limited amount of downloads/day.

Icon Packs

Icon pack is a group of icons. Icon packs make it easier to find related icons or icons from the same author. In this way, you can find the best and most perfect icons for your needs. You can download an entire icon pack instead of downloading the icons one by one. Like the same, there are Icon Families which are a better and bigger version of the icon packs. You can find similar icons in icon families.

Different Formats

Flaticon allows you to download your favorite icons in any of the PNG, SVG, EPS, PSD, Base 64 formats. If you download the icon in PNG format, you will have the option to select preferred sizes (16px, 24px, 32px, to 512px) and colors. So, you can customize the icons even before downloading. In other formats, there is no need for such options, for example, SVG images won’t lose its quality to an enormous size, so they didn’t include it.

Create Patterns

You can create custom patterns using the icons on the website. It is super easy using the pattern creator provided by the website. Have a look at the above-shown video to understand how easy it is to generate amazing patterns within a matter of minutes.

Flaticon Plans

Why should you go for the premium options while you can download the icons for free? The answer is simple, you do not have to credit the author each time you use the icon on your web pages or somewhere else + you will unlock a huge number of premium icons + your daily download limit will be increased.

Flaticon will restrict the downloads to 40 downloads/day for the non-registered users and 400 downloads/day for the registered uses. But if you are a premium member, you can download upto 2000 icons/day. Here are the Flaticon plans.

and here is the difference between a free account and a premium subscription.
