Google Chrome is everyone’s favorite browser. Chrome is very easy to install, supports multiple platforms, cross-platform sync feature, bookmarks, passwords, guest mode support, and what not everything we can enjoy using Google Chrome.

The level customization options offered by Google Chrome are many. The features range from appearance change to personalized search, additional security options and many more. The tweaks are available in the form of commands which are very easy to access. Google Chrome is offering several ways to access its features. One of them is commands, few simple commands let you access some advanced features in the browsers.

In this article, I want to show some commands which open a number of options which are helpful to customize the browser to the next level.

Commands given below perform a wide variety of tasks. Check the command you want to use and paste it in the URL bar on the Google Chrome browser to execute it.

1. Settings

There are 2 ways to access Google Chrome settings. One is the manual method, which is clicking on the three-dot menu at the top right corner of the window and then selecting Settings. The simple way to access settings is using a command. Type the below command in the URL bar and hit enter to access “Settings”.

2. Downloads

To access the download page of Google Chrome execute the command given below. It shows the list of downloads you made with detailed info and icons. When you click on a particular item, it takes to the location of the saved folder.

3. Search Engine Settings

In our previous article, we discussed managing search engines in Google Chrome. To change the default search engine in Google Chrome, enter the below command and execute it.

4. Address autofill

Address autofill is a pretty useful option to fill the blank forms automatically with our details. We don’t need to manually type all the details while signing up for a service online. Within the options, you can store all the address data, name and credit card details.

Chrome Flags are experimental features which are hidden and can be accessed via using this simple command. They offer the most advanced features and customizations which are under development and testing and available for public but not officially launched in consumer build. 6. Browsing History

There is a simple command to access browsing history on Google Chrome. Simply type the below command or you can use Ctrl+H shortcut to open the browsing history.

7. Extensions

This command lets you access and manage all the extensions installed on your browser. Once you execute the command, it will show the installed extensions with details and you can add or remove extensions within the user-interface.

8. Crashes

Chrome Crashes command displays detailed information about the recent crashes happened on the browser. Usually, you can access these settings from Chrome “Privacy Settings” option.

9. GPU

GPU command shows detailed information about your system graphics card which is helping in hardware acceleration to improve the Google Chrome performance. It also shows the information about driver details, conflicts, driver bug workarounds, and diagnostics details of the graphics card.

10. Net Export

This command allows you to view all the networking events captured in real-time. You can export this data to a local disk for analyzing purposes.

It displays all the valuable information about your system data, including details about the Chrome version, OS Version, BIOS, and various other hardware components details.

12. Quota Internals

It shows the details of the disk which is utilized to perform Chrome tasks. It also shows the detailed information of each site occupying cache. It is one of the useful commands to check the detailed cache information on Chrome.

13. Histograms

Histograms show detailed information of browser statistics collected from the time of you launched Chrome to the most recent browsing session.

14. Chrome

If you want to check the version of your Chrome you are using, use this command to check easily. It opens the “About Chrome” page where all the details about currently installed Chrome details.

15. Clear Browsing Cache

This command directly opens a small window which lets you delete the browser cache in one click. You can set the time range from 7 days to all time to clear complete data. The action will delete the data like download history, browsing history, cache, cookies, passwords, and other browsing data.

16. Sync Intervals

Sync Intervals command show detailed information about your Google account sync data. The user-interface contains many tabs, each tab contains summary, finest and detailed info about sync options including credentials, status, version info,  identity, network, encryption and much more.
