Many people are using the Zoom video conferencing program for their online meetings and we today learn how to record Zoom meetings on iPhone.

Zoom Meeting Record Limitations

Zoom is a fantastic video conferencing program and no doubt about it. However, it has some limitations when you are trying to record a meeting locally or in the cloud. A cloud-based recording facility needs a paid Zoom account and it is the main hurdle to record a Zoom meeting on iPhone.

Here are the two methods to record Zoom meeting on iPhone paid and free accounts.

1. Zoom Meeting Recording On a Paid account

Recording a Zoom meeting in a paid account is a pretty easy process. It will save the entire meeting recording in the Zoom Cloud account without using the device’s storage space.

  1. Open Zoom and start a meeting. (Check our detailed guide on how to start a Zoom meeting if you are new to Zoom).
  2. Tap the more options button at the bottom right.
  3. Here, select Record to the cloud, it will start recording instantly.
  4. Once the meeting is over, you can access the recorded file from the Recording tab on the Zoom web interface.

2. Zoom Meeting Recording On a Free account

These steps are for free Zoom account users. Here, we use third-party screen recorders and the device’s own storage space is used to store the recorded meeting.

Before going to start the recording, check the available device storage space by following the below steps.

  1. Open iPhone and go to the Settings app.
  2. Go to General>iPhone Storage.
  3. At the top, check free space.

The next step is to add a recording option to the control panel.

  1. Open iPhone and go to the Settings app.
  2. Go to Control Center.
  3. Under Controls, check Screen Recording is added.
  4. If it is not in the list, tap the plus button next to it from the list of controls.

Now you are ready to record a Zoom meeting on your iPhone without a paid Zoom account.

  1. Open Zoom and start a meeting.
  2. Now, swipe down from the top right corner of the screen to open the Control Panel.
  3. Tap the Record icon in the control panel to start recording
  4. The recording will start and you will see a red color clock at the top left corner of the screen.
  5. To stop the recording, tap on the red clock.
  6. Saved recording can be accessed from the device camera roll/Photos app.
