You must have seen all the drama regarding a Coronavirus website which was said to be launched by Google. The US President Donald Trump announced last week that Google will be launching a website for the same very soon. But as it turned out, it looked like Google was not even contacted regarding this. Or else, it must have been the case of the US administration announcing things way ahead of launch to assure people. Later, Google clarified that their website is still in development and it would take time for them to make it ready.
However, the company has understood that this is a crisis of the highest order and built a coronavirus website in record time. Since the announcement last week, Google has now released the website which was said to be being developed. On this website, you can not only find the relevant information regarding COVID-19 from trusted sources but also ways in which you can get yourself tested in the US. Therefore, the people who have symptoms and don’t know where to go for tests will be guided properly.
Google says that it will “start providing more enhanced information cards for people who search for terms related to the coronavirus. There will be information tabs for symptoms, prevention, global statics, and locally relevant information”
Also, Google says that its website available at Google.com/covid19 will be “focused on education, prevention and local resources”. “People can find state-based information, safety and prevention tips, search trends related to COVID-19, and further resources for individuals, educators and businesses”
For the people outside of the US, there is good news as Google has revealed that “the site will be available in more languages and countries in the coming days and we’ll update the website as more resources become available”
