Location is private information. We utilize it when we use a map service to seek directions as well as to add it to the pictures we capture with our smartphones. If you want turn-by-turn directions, Google Maps on desktop and mobile must have access to your location. Incognito on Google Maps
Information about a location is extremely sensitive. Use incognito mode when using Google Maps to seek instructions if you want to keep your location as private as possible.
Activate Incognito mode on Google Maps.
There is a built-in Incognito mode in Google Maps. when Google Maps’ incognito mode is activated;
The person has logged off.
There is no storage of search history of any kind.
Your location history is not added for the locations you visit or search for.
Your location cannot be shared via Google Maps with trusted contacts while you are in incognito mode. Location sharing will therefore be suspended when the mode is chosen.
Your ISP can still monitor your search activity.

To leave Google Maps incognito mode;
Activate Google Maps.
At the top right, tap the private mode icon.
In the menu, select Turn off Incognito mode.
The previous account you were signed into will be used when you open Google Maps again.
