Cubot H1 Review: Design and Build Quality
Cubot H1 4G has a metallic shell with a plastic cap on the rear to protect the backside components. While holding the Cubot H1 in hands, it is very light. No hurdles experienced in using the phone with one hand. Inside the detachable rear side cap, we see the battery, 2 Sim card slots (1 micro sim and 1 standard sim) and a memory card slot with expandable memory up to 32 Gb.
Cubot H1 has the power button on the right side and Volume buttons on the left side. Micro Usb port and 3.5mm Headphone Jack are placed on the top side of the phone with good distance between them. Like most of the Smartphones, Cubot H1 has the three capacitive buttons at the bottom for the primary usage. Overall Look is very neat and slim with a 9.2mm thickness.
Cubot H1 Review: Display and Camera Performance
Cubot H1 display has a big 5.5 inch HD IPS screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720. The 5.5-inch screen gives a look of Phablet to this Smartphone. The screen looks rich and sharp in the HD display due to its 267ppi screen density which is above most of the Smartphones. It looks like Cubot not compromised on the display performance.
Rear Camera has an 8Mp (interpolated 13MP) and Front Camera has a 5MP (interpolated 8MP). Though we do not consider the interpolated pixels, the 8Mp in Rear and 5Mp in Front is doing their job well. For a budget level smartphone, this more than value for money. Here, We have to notice a fact, that Cubot revealed their original Camera pixels and mentioned their Interpolate pixels separately while some cheap cheaters mention their Interpolate Pixels as Original Camera Pixels.
Cubot H1 Review: Hardware and Interface Performance
Cubot H1 has 64 bit Quadcore MediaTek MTK6735 Processor and 2Gb RAM with 16Gb ROM. This hardware configuration is generally seen in all budget phones nowadays. This powers the entire device into a multitasking freak.
Another added advantage is Android 5.1 Lollipop which added more speed and power to the User Interface. All the results of multitasking tests are unbelievable for this normal configuration in Chipset and RAM. No lagging while playing games like Modern Combat 4. And Don’t miss the 4G Internet speed while using this Phone. AT 4G internet in Cubot H1, we just think that we are using a $500 Smartphone.
[quick_offer]USB OTG option is added in this phone, which means you can connect an external hard disk to the device to increase the memory or to transfer your files to other phones or hard disks. For more details look into the Specifications below.
Cubot H1 Connectivity
Coming to connectivity side the device has serious performance, we tested the device using three 4G networks under various conditions. And we noted down the results by testing the network performance on speedtest.net. The results are pretty satisfactory with three networks. However, the speed of the net is based purely on the ISP service, but we tested and got good speed results.
Battery
As we told about the Powerful Battery, it has more good things to say. The 5200mAh battery acts as a Power bank and can charge another phone using the Charger port. Battery power lasts up to 3 days. What else you need from a Smartphone battery? But, still I have things to say. The battery has a Quick charge facility, which means to charge it for 10 minutes and get 2 hours 8 minutes of talking capacity and when you charge the battery for 30 minutes, you can get a one day charge of normal usage. Definitely, this one thing is enough to buy Cubot H1 without a second thought.
