DJI launches Osmo Pocket 3-axis Handheld Gimbal which can shoot upto 4k 60fps

DJI Osmo Pocket

DJI is a company well-known worldwide for its drones such as Spark, Mavic or Mavic Pro. However, DJI is not just limited to the production of drones only. DJI is a company which also releases handheld devices such as Gimbals and Cameras. Now, the company has announced one of their latest products. This is the DJI Osmo Pocket which is a 3-axis handheld gimbal camera. Now, this gimbal is so small that it can fit in anyone’s pocket. However, this gimbal is so powerful that it can shoot at 4k 60fps.

This DJI Osmo Pocket is launched in the DJI Osmo series which already has DJI Osmo Mobile, a gimbal for smartphones. Now, there were leaks of the Osmo Pocket floating around and now it has been made official. This handheld gimbal camera can be yours for a price of $349 and the pre-orders have already started. The shipping of this product will commence from December 15 so you will have to wait till then.

Talking about the internals of DJI Osmo Pocket, this handheld gimbal has a 12MP stabilized camera with a 1-inch touchscreen for display. This sensor on the DJI Osmo Pocket is an f1/2.3-inch same as the ones found on DJI Mavic Air and Mavic Pro. Therefore, you will get a feeling that the shots have been taken from a drone. The DJI Osmo Pocket is capable of lasting 140 minutes on a single charge while capable of shooting 4k at 60 frames per second.

The stabilization on this gimbal is also much more advanced than the smartphones and digital cameras. This is to produce stabilized shots in the low-light and shaky conditions where the smartphones and digital cameras generally struggle. Also, DJI has added the ability to connect the Osmo Pocket to a smartphone which will work as a viewfinder for better display of the recording.
