Apple has not had the best of times lately due to various reasons. Recently, the company announced that they are expecting lower-than-estimated revenue for this year. Also, the sales of iPhone Xs series and the iPhone Xr are not great. This has caused Apple to halt production of their smartphones. Now, we are here to tell you that a major bug is found inside iOS. This bug is related to one of the most popular applications inside iOS, FaceTime. FaceTime is an app which lets you video call your friends and family. This is an application similar to Skype from Microsoft and Google’s apps such as Hangouts and Duo.
Now, this bug might have been around from the last 3 months. This is because Apple introduced group calls inside FaceTime with iOS 12. Now, this bug is related to group calls on FaceTime only. To recreate this bug, you have to FaceTime someone. After that, add another person to that FaceTime call. With this bug, you will be able to hear the third person which you have just added. Now, you would argue that the call was meant to be heard.

But we would like to inform you that the third person does not need to answer the call. Yes, you can hear the sound of the third person or the phone’s surroundings without even answering the call. You must have now acknowledged that this is a major bug. This bug could be used to spy on someone without them even knowing about it. The situation gets even worse when the user getting FaceTime call decided to press the Power or Volume button to silence the call. This will not only let you hear the audio but the video will be seen as well.
Now, the only solution to this can only be obtained via an update to iOS. Apple has also acknowledged this bug and assured that a fix is coming this week. But we would tell you to disable FaceTime for the time being even though Apple has disabled FaceTime’s Conference call feature.
