OnePlus has always been one of the top names when it comes to flagship smartphones. However, even since the company launched its OnePlus One, it is called as the flagship killer company. But it seems like OnePlus wants to change that tagline among its users. In an exclusive interview to The Verge, OnePlus CEO said that OnePlus now wants to have a “flagship smartphone instead of flagship killer” one. This is also true because OnePlus will launch its OnePlus 7 series this time around.
This was also confirmed by OnePlus CEO Pete Lau in this interview. Pete Lau said that OnePlus will launch its OnePlus 7 Pro along with the OnePlus 7 later this year. Therefore, the leaks regarding OnePlus 7’s Pro version have now been confirmed. On top of that, Pete Lau also claimed that OnePlus 7 Pro will have an all-new display technology. This is most likely the 90Hz refresh rate on OnePlus 7 Pro’s display as well as Optic AMOLED QHD+ panel.
In this interview, OnePlus’ CEO also announced that its OnePlus 7 series is launching next month. In most likeliness, the OnePlus 7 series will be announced on May 14. Thus, it is not long before we will see the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro in action. Along with that, a image provided to The Verge also shows a curved design on OnePlus 7’s design. Now, this is expected to be the rumored curved display of OnePlus 7 Pro.
As per reports, OnePlus 7 will have a normal non-curved display with standard refresh rate too. Also, OnePlus 7 series’s design has also been leaked earlier which shows triple rear cameras at the back on OnePlus 7 Pro. Though, the OnePlus 7 is mostly similar to OnePlus 6T in design. We might also see a pop-up selfie camera on OnePlus 7 Pro along with a bezel-free display on the smartphone. Finally, OnePlus CEO said that OnePlus 7 Pro’s display will be “super-smooth and very crisp”
