Asus has just made its latest flagship smartphone, the Asus Zenfone 5Z official in India. This smartphone has been launched in the Zenfone 5 series from the company. Also, the Zenfone 5Z will be exclusively available from Flipkart in India. Asus has also announced the Zenfone 5Z at a price lower than that of the recently-launched OnePlus 6 and Honor 10.
Starting at Rs. 29,999 in India, Asus has kept the price of Zenfone 5Z significantly lower than that of OnePlus and Honor. However, the price of the smartphone is not a big surprise given the fact that we already knew its pricing via a leaked listing on Flipkart.
Zenfone 5Z, as is expected, comes with all the latest specifications as seen on other flagships launched in 2018. For starters, this smartphone has a 6.2-inch bezel-less display with a notch at the top of the display. However, there is still a minimal-but-noticeable bottom chin on the smartphone.
Apart from that, the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor and comes with Adreno 630 GPU. Asus Zenfone 5Z runs on ZenUI which is a custom skin of Android developed by the company. The smartphone is running the ZenUI 5.0 out of the box which is based on Android 8.0 Oreo.
Moving on to the camera department, the Asus Zenfone 5Z looks very similar to the iPhone X in terms of camera setup. The Zenfone 5Z has dual vertical cameras on the back and a fingerprint sensor in the center below the camera. The smartphone has a 12MP + 8MP camera setup on the back whereas it has an 8MP selfie camera on the front as well.
It has a 3300 mAh non-removable battery to power the device for a long time on single charge. The Asus Zenfone 5Z comes with a 6GB RAM base variant priced at Rs. 29,999 which comes with 64GB of internal storage. Also, it comes in variants with 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM variants priced at Rs. 32,999 and Rs. 36,999 which come with 128GB and 256GB internal storage respectively.
