Google has always been the best search engine ever since it was founded back in 1997. Currently, most of the search traffic is generated via the Google Search Engine. Now, there is a new search engine emerging for the privacy lovers which is named DuckDuckGo. On DuckDuckGo, you will not be tracked in any which way. However, Google tracks your search results and gives you personalized ads based on that. Now, there is a study published by DuckDuckGo which was done on Google search results.
Now, we know that there is a privacy mode inside Google Chrome which is known as ‘incognito’ mode. If you browse through incognito mode, Google will not be able to track any of your search queries or browser history. However, DuckDuckGo’s study finds that this is not the case. DDG claims that it is not possible to escape the Google tracking algorithms even if you are logged out of your Google accounts and browsing through incognito mode.
This is a scary revelation from DuckDuckGo if it is found true. This means that you have no option to get a google search result which does not show personalized ads. Now, there is another aspect of incognito mode as well. Basically, everyone who browses Google will see different results even if they are sitting right next to each other and browsing through the same network. This is because of Google’s personalized tracking algorithms.
If you need to get results which are same to everyone then you need to browse through incognito mode. But DuckDuckGo conducted a study on several users by testing several Google searches. From the study, it is found that there were variations in search results for users even in incognito mode. Several users were receiving some results whereas other users were not seeing those results.
