LG G8 recently had a leak of its 3.5mm headphone jack. Following the same, as per the reports, the device will launch on February 24th just before the MWC 2019. There are also some rumored specs specified in the report of ETNews. As per the report, the device will launch at 10 am which will be converted to 6:30 am IST. So, as per the timing based on the report, it is not going to be an event that is going to be a part of the MWC. The report also claims that another variant of the device will also be launched at the same event.
Coming to the specs, as per the reports from ETNews, it will come with a rear triple camera, three-dimensional (3D) shooting capabilities with the support of three lenses. The G8 will also have a water-drop notch design which will be a great addition to the quality department. It will also support the Long Term Emulation (LTE) network. Under the hood, the G8 will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. The chipset is reportedly going to be used on many upcoming smartphones including the Samsung Galaxy S10.
Another report from Naver also points out that the device will launch next month which is February. But as per the Naver article, LG will launch the device at the MWC event which is slightly different from what the ETNews said. So, we are not sure about the exact release date of the device yet. If the ET report is correct, it is going to be on the 24th of next month. If Naver guessed it right, the device will only unveil at the MWC 2019 event which is going to happen on 25th to 28th of February. We will keep you updated on this when we have more information about the LG G8 release date.
