Motorola Moto X4 is now receiving the stable Android 9.0 Pie update

Moto X4

Motorola’s flagship smartphone from last year, the Moto X4 is now receiving a new update. This update is not just another update but the big Android update that people were waiting for. This update upgrades the Moto X4 to Android’s latest version which is Android 9.0 Pie. This latest update on the Moto X4 means that the smartphone has already got two major Android updates. The first update on the Moto X4 was the Android 8.1 Oreo update and now Android 9.0 Pie.

The Moto X4 was launched by Motorola around the same time last year with Android 7.1 Nougat onboard. Now, this raised some few eye-brows as Android Oreo was already released back then. Currently, the Android 9.0 Pie update for the Moto X4 is released for the Brazilian users. If you follow Motorola, they tend to release each of their updates first in Brazil and then in India. This means that India is next in line to get the Android Pie update so Moto X4 users in India can get excited.

With the Android 9.0 Pie update, Motorola Moto X4 is also upgraded to software to version PPW29.69-26 along with the latest November 2018 batch of Android security updates. This means that you can get the goodness of the latest security patch update as well. So, if you are conscious of your phone’s security then that is covered with this update too. Now, this update will not be any different from the Android 9.0 Pie which is available on Google Pixel devices. This is because Motorola has Stock Android loaded on all its smartphones

Now, the Moto X4 update will be available in the Brazilian region already. However, the update is released in batches so you have to wait patiently for the update to arrive on your device. On the other hand, the Moto X4 Indian users will have to wait a little longer for the update to arrive.
