OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition teased to come with 50W Warp Charging

OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition

It is now clear that OnePlus is going to launch a new variant of the OnePlus 6T. This new variant will be named as the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. It is also believed that the latest edition of OnePlus 6T will be the costliest OnePlus phone ever. Now, there are few details regarding the OnePlus 6T. The OnePlus 6T is expected to come with 10GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. On the other hand, the internals of this device will remain the same as the original version.

However, OnePlus needs to give fans some reason to buy this variant of the OnePlus 6T. And OnePlus has just teased a huge feature regarding this latest variant. In a tweet, OnePlus teased that “Charging is about to hit warp speed” on the latest variant of OnePlus 6T. Now, this is not a new term as OnePlus has already registered a trademark called Warp Charging. This is after the fact that Dash Charging got a copyright claim for infringement and OnePlus had to give that name away.

Therefore, we already speculated that OnePlus’s Dash Charging will now be called Warp Charging. And we believe that the official confirmation of the same has now come from OnePlus. So, you will be able to see and enjoy the magic of OnePlus’s Warp Charging on your device. Moreover, Warp Charging will not be same as Dash Charging. It is confirmed that Dash Charging has got an update along with a new name of “Warp Charging”.

As for the specifications, Warp Charging will now draw 50W of power to give ultra fast charging. If we see SuperVOOC charging from Oppo, it gives 0-100% charge in 37 mins and we believe the same charging speeds will be there on the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. We can also see from the tweet that the cable will come with a special orange colour rather than the typical red one.
