OnePlus had launched the latest flagship smartphone from the company named as the OnePlus 6. This smartphone was the successor to OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T which were launched in an interval of six months last year. We should also expect to see the OnePlus 6T later this year but let’s keep that aside for a moment.
This is because OnePlus has launched a new variant of the OnePlus 6 and this is the Red collar variant of their flagship smartphone. Now, we already know that OnePlus 6 was launched in three variants at launch named as Midnight Black, Mirror Black and Silk White.
Apart from the variants mentioned above, OnePlus also launched a special edition Karbon Black-Color Marvel Avengers Edition. Also, it was later announced that this edition will be available as a normal Karbon Black edition and it is already available on sale. The latest edition to be launched for the OnePlus 6 is the Red coloured variant which OnePlus calls Amber Red.
Talking about the Amber Red edition of OnePlus 6, this device is only available in one storage option which comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. However, the OnePlus 6 is also launched in a storage variant which has 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
Other than the storage, none of the other specifications for the OnePlus 6 have been altered for the latest Amber Red edition so it essentially means that it is just the OnePlus 6 with a fresh coat of paint. To recall, the OnePlus 6 was launched with a 6.28-inch AMOLED display which has a notch at the centre and comes with a 19:9 aspect ratio.
The device is powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor and Adreno 630 GPU. It has a dual camera setup on the back and which is a 16MP + 20MP one whereas there is a 16MP front selfie camera as well. The OnePlus 6 is said to be water resistant or as the company calls it, “weather proof”.
