OnePlus, along with its OnePlus 7T, has also launched the OnePlus TV which officially is the company’s entry in India’s Smart TV market. However, we cannot say that OnePlus will really be competing with the likes of Xiaomi, Motorola or others in this segment. Because while Xiaomi has aggressively priced its TVs in the market, OnePlus has taken the premium route for its offerings. The first difference between OnePlus TVs and the Xiaomi’s Mi TVs is that you get a QLED panel on OnePlus which you don’t on the Mi TV 55-inch. And yes, the OnePlus starts at the 55-inch display while the Mi TVs are available in different screen sizes starting from 32-inch.
OnePlus TVs have been launched in India as the OnePlus TV Q1 series which includes the OnePlus TV Q1 and the Q1 Pro. Both of these TVs have a 55-inch QLED panel and 4K display resolution with 50W speakers and Android TV. However, there are some differences between the two models. The OnePlus TV Q1 in India is available for Rs. 69,990 while the OnePlus TV Q1 Pro will be available at Rs. 99,990.
While both the OnePlus TVs are similar, there are a few key differences between the two. First of all, the OnePlus TV Q1 comes with four speakers while the OnePlus TV Q1 Pro has an 8-speaker system. You also get a ‘sliding soundbar’ on the Q1 Pro which is not present on the regular model. Apart from that, everything else is the same on both TVs.
As far as we are concerned, the OnePlus TV Q1 Pro’s steep price of 1 lakh gets you a soundbar additionally which you can install separately as well. However, the regular variant having the same display without a soundbar looks a much better deal. Also, OnePlus is relying on its smartphone experience as it has also launched an app to operate your TV from the phone. You can even use your OnePlus smartphone to type on your OnePlus TV.
