Samsung has released the roadmap of updates to Android 9 Pie through a message. The message takes on a double meaning because it not only reveals the timing but also announces which devices will receive the update.
Since there are no differences, we can expect all smartphones and tablets on the list will receive Android 9 Pie through the new customization Samsung One UI, although there are some certainties (except for S8 / S8 + and Note 8). It was also found that Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 + are receiving the Android Pie update from today.
Here is the list of Samsung devices that will receive Android 9 Pie, with the addition of the month in which it is scheduled to start the rollout:
- Samsung Galaxy S9 / S9 + – January 2019;
- Samsung Galaxy Note 9 – February 2019;
- Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8 + – March 2019;
- Samsung Galaxy Note 8 – March 2019;
- Samsung Galaxy A8 / A8 + 2018 – April 2019;
- Samsung Galaxy A7 and A9 2018 – April 2019;
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 10.5 – April 2019;
- Samsung Galaxy J4 / J4 + – May 2019;
- Samsung Galaxy J6 / J6 + – May 2019;
- Samsung Galaxy A8 Star – May 2019;
- Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 – July 2019;
- Samsung Galaxy J7 Duo – August 2019;
- Samsung Galaxy Xcover4- September 2019;
- Samsung Galaxy J3 2017 – September 2019;
- Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 9.7 – September 2019;
- Samsung Galaxy Tab A 2017 – October 2019;
- Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2 – October 2019;
- Samsung Galaxy A 10.5 – October 2019.
Unfortunately, the list may not contain Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, although it is not yet the last word (who knows if there will be an addition). If your smartphone or tablet appearing in the list? Then, get ready for 2019. The timing could also very naturally, both in one sense and another. Well, Galaxy S9 and S9 + have received Android 9 Pie this morning.
