Tesla is the world’s largest automobile manufacturer which specializes in making electric cars and the company has mostly been targeting the US market. It was also speculated that the company could soon launch its cars in India but that does not seem to be true now.
Many customers in India had already pre-booked their Tesla cars, especially the Model 3, even before any announcements as well but it is now understood that the hopes of getting their cars will not be possible. However, Tesla has hit a new milestone in terms of production. This is related to the production goal that Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, had made by the end of 2017.
As far as the reports are to be believed, Tesla has produced 5000 Tesla Model 3 Electric Cars only in the last week of June. This was initially planned by Elon Musk at the end of 2017 but that could not be achieved because of Tesla’s production issues. As per Reuters, the 5000th Tesla Model 3 was out of the assembly line in the early hours of Sunday Morning.
This was also supported by the fact that many of the Tesla factory workers had reported the same. Also, Elon Musk later tweeted that the Tesla Factory had produced 7000 Cars in 7 days. Now, this could possibly be the combination of Tesla’s lineup of cars which include the Model 3, Model X and the Model S.

However, it should be noted that this is still a very big production goal especially considering the Electric Cars industry which is still in the growing phase. Now, this is also a welcome step for the Tesla customers who had pre-booked the Tesla Model 3, Model X or the Model S as they have already been waiting for more than a year to get delivery of their cars.
However, it is left to be seen whether Tesla’s production of 20,000 cars per month will be able to meet the backlog of tens of thousands of reservation holders.
