Vivo X21 launched in India at an event held in New Delhi. The smartphone features an under display fingerprint scanner which is the first of its kind launching in India. Now you will be able to unlock your screen just by touching on your smartphone screen instead of a button. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 35,990 which sounds a bit higher compared to the specs and competition. However, the high screen-to-body ration and such feature enhancements may be capable of compensating this pricing of the new Vivo flagship.
The company has recently launched two variants of the devices in China as Vivo X21 and the Vivo X21 UD which features the under display fingerprint scanner. So, the release in India is the UD version of the smartphone which is labeled as the Vivo X21. For the Vivo fanboys, this might be a good option as it is one of the best Vivo smartphones ever arrived in the market.
The X21 measures 154.5 x 74.8 x 7.4 mm and is flanked with 3D glass on its rear. The smartphone also features a metallic frame in between. All these gives an iPhone X like look to the device. So, if you always wanted an iPhone but doesn’t have enough money to afford that, this could be an option. Under the hood, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 660 that features 2.2 GHz octa-core processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB ROM. There is also an expansion slot available which supports SD card of upto 256GB capacity. Fueling the X21, there is a 3,200mAh battery which is kinda average for such a high-end smartphone.
In the camera department, the smartphone features a 12MP camera in the rear, while the selfies will be supported by a 5MP front camera. So, you shouldn’t be expecting some amazing selfies from this beast. But the features like AI HDR, AI Face Beauty, Shot Re-Focus, Portrait Bokeh, AR stickers still have something extra to deliver on your photos by capturing the real-life colors. The dual rear camera setup supports 4K UHD video recording and slow-motion video shooting.
So, that’s all for now. As per the officials, there will be a gift voucher, some cash back from certain retailers. The smartphone will start shipping soon and reach the users in the coming months. So, let’s wait for the device to arrive and we will have a deep look at it once again.
